Welcome to Wikitravel. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.
I see you've discovered Wikitravel:What is an article?, which hopefully will provide some background on what gets its own article and why. Per that policy I've listed Mile on Wikitravel:Votes for deletion as we want to avoid the slippery slope of writing encyclopedia content. Some of your changes to Wikitravel:What is an article? may also be rolled back simply because that article is one of the bedrock policies of the site, and changes are usually proposed on the talk page for discussion before the policy is modified. Thanks for your contributions however, and hopefully we'll see more! -- Ryan 23:46, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Maybe you could create a User:Travid77/Mile page and copy your mile conversion to there - I'm not certain, but it might be acceptable to link to that from Wikitravel:Measurements. Or perhaps start a Wikitravel:Conversions page... ~ 220.127.116.11 02:21, 31 January 2007 (EST)
Hey there, Welcome again! Thanks for the more detailed Egypt map, I replaced the old one on the Egypt page since it has more detail... however I removed it from the city and oasis pages, since those pages should only have maps of the specific city or oasis that that article covers. Thanks for your contributions, looking forward to more! ::: Cacahuate 05:17, 1 February 2007 (EST)
