Hello! Welcome to Wikitravel. Thanks for plunging forward and fixing some of my spelling mistakes on Lausanne. I hope that you'll continue with Wikitravel, in which case you may find the tips for new contributors helpful.

You should also make sure you understand our copyleft and policies and guidelines. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted.

If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub or on the talk page for the most appropriate article.

Thanks again! -- Mark 14:23, 16 Aug 2004 (EDT)

Thanks for the welcome Mark. This is a great site, really well thought out, and as I'm already slightly addicted to both wikis and travel I'm sure to be sticking around.
The entry on Lausanne is great, better than my paper guidebooks. I look forward to the day when every town in the world has a guide that good!

Thanks for the kind words. The main thing with these articles is to just keep adding a bit every chance I get. Lausanne is a bit special for me though, since I live here. I hope the guide works out to be useful. -- Mark 17:15, 16 Aug 2004 (EDT)
