Just edited the Queensland page with some traveler information for car hire. WikiAdmin, please feel free to provide any feedback on this.
- Thanks for being so polite. I fear my remark in deleting the information you posted was a bit sharp. Sorry about that; however, it was accurate. Please read Wikitravel:Don't tout. It's also unlikely that a consensus could be reached in favor of car hire listings at the provincial level. Normally, if there are 10 or more car hire companies in a given location, no listings are permitted, as it is reasoned that it would be easy for a traveler to find someplace to hire a car. See Wikitravel:External links#What not to link to. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks again for being so constructive. Ikan Kekek 22:54, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
Definitely appreciate the feedback. I will take this advice on board for the next edit.
Are there any examples of where transport hire for traveler has been linked effectively on WikiTravel
- In some very small towns. I won't do a search now, but keep in mind the "10 or fewer" guideline.
- One other thing: On "Talk" pages such as this one, it's standard practice to "sign" your posts by using 4 tildes (the ~ sign).
- All the best,
