To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
Hey Scott, not trying to be a bigot here or anything, but please don't spend too much time on the guide for that little republic of yours, as there is a good chance it will be deleted soon (while I personally don't mind too much) - since I assume you haven't received much in the way of international recognition yet. When you do, you are more than welcome to give it some more work. Cheers --Stefan (sertmann) Talk 07:37, 28 June 2009 (EDT)
 Isle of Arran
Hi Scarwood. I noticed you've done a lot of good work on Isle of Arran in the past. There's loads of good information there but the article could do with a bit of knocking into shape to bring it up to Guide standard (and hopefully on to Star!). I've been doing some work on it the last few days and a couple of other folk have had some input. Please come and join in the discussion on the Talk Page Tarr3n 07:20, 2 November 2009 (EST)
 Continued great contributions
Hello Scarwood, I wanted to thank you for your continued contributions to Wikitravel, and ask if you had ever patrolled edits (for spam/vandalism), or if you'd ever considered becoming a volunteer site administrator? Also, do you contribute on any other language versions? Best,--IBobi talk email 20:14, 14 September 2012 (EDT)
