Antigua Guatemala[edit]

Hi Mike! It's great to have you here! Thanks for your nice contributions about Guatemala!

May I ask you why you replaced El Hostal Bed & Breakfast with El Chaman? Usually, we do that only when the Direction changes, and obviously, this is not the same place. For this reason, I'll restore El Hostal (but I'll keep El Chaman of course). Just please remember when we see that, it usually indicates a business owner wants to remove a competitor from our pages, which is not allowed since it's not in the Traveler's best interest.

By the way, in case you do have a business, feel free to have a look on the following: Guide for business owners ;)

And again, any question you may have, feel free to ask! PierrB (talk) 02:11, 3 May 2014 (EDT)

Hi PierrB ! Thank you for your message.
I think you made a little mistake there. I have not remove or replaced the Hostal you are referring to, or any other. Perhaps you have clicked on the wrong user. My contributions so far are related to grammar and small details only. I would appreciate your confirmation on this, for I would not like to be consider a bad contributor on this great community. Many thanks !

Hello Mike! Sorry for the inconvenience. I doubled checked and indeed, the bad edit wasn't by you, but I don't know why, it shown up like aggregated to your edit (which was absolutely OK). I'll send a word to the IT about that! Thanks for your quick reply! PierrB (talk) 03:14, 4 May 2014 (EDT)

Updating Where to Eat and Stay at[edit]

Hi Mike, nice to hear from you again.

I'm indeed among the moderators, and good news, you don't need any authorizations to edit a listing, on the contrary, please share your knowledge! We of course try to stay alert so a business owner doesn't mess up with competitors, but I know you are not in this case. Here is a useful link: Wikitravel:Listings; feel free to check it, it explains how to make great and simple listings, or what to say when you want to edit one already existing. And if anything is still unclear... You know what to do! ;)PierrB (talk) 11:58, 7 May 2014 (EDT)

It's OK, of course! Anyway the good point is, even if I am busy or not connected, another admin from the team would see your edits and tells you if something needs to be corrected if they don't just do it by themselves. Actually, we are always happy to see new edits, even if it's not perfect, the most important is to plunge forward! I'm sure you'll be doing great. PierrB (talk) 02:05, 9 May 2014 (EDT)
