[edit] Access reinstated
My editing access has now been reinstated so I will use the opportunity to tidy up my Talk page
As IBobi of Internet Brands locked me out of the Project with a 1 week editing access Ban earlier today it has somewhat clarified my feelings concerning the appropriateness of my further involvement in this project in it's current incarnation.
I assume his actions were endorsed by his employers who currently provide the host servers for this Project.
The detail of the Ban is described at 01:02, 21 August 2012 IBobi (Talk | contribs) blocked Felix505 (Talk | contribs) with an expiry time of 1 week (account creation disabled) (Spam solicitations on WT members' talk pages)
The block (ID is #12042) was eventually successfully removed at 07:32, 21 August 2012 by Dguillaime Talk (unblocked #12042) following thwarted attempts by WT admins. I was not the only victim of this mischief today.
Of course I was not placing "Spam" on WT members talk pages as the Ban notes suggest, the action taken in 'banning' me from Project participation was just an act of sheer mischief by someone with entirely inappropriate administrator level access to the Project.
However that signals the death knell for me. I will just observe the WT carcass from a distance now.
I see no potentially constructive outcomes from further engagement with IBobi as he appears to have become feral.
My POV concerning the appropriateness of the Ban is outlined here in IBobi's Talk page and there is some briefer commentary on the Travellers pub page.
In the most part I have enjoyed working on this project, I am saddened to see what has now become of it.
I can be found here on Wikipedia
Best wishes to all who remain working on the task here. -- felix 04:28, 21 August 2012 (EDT)

[edit] paris By Scooter or motorbike
Hello,
I was reading the talk:paris : http://wikitravel.org/en/Talk:Paris
You wrote on this page that you decided to remove "2 Wheel Tours" . 2 Wheel Tours is a Vespa rental company which propose Vespa for rent as well as guided tour of Paris by Vespa. You can find an evidence here : http://www.2-wheeltours.com/scooter-rental-paris and here : http://www.2-wheeltours.com/places-to-visit-in-paris Moreover, they have no physical address because they directly deliver the scooters to the hotel of their clients. Something really interesting. You can check their tripadvisor review to see that this website is useful. Can you add a description of this company on the "By Scooter or motorbike" section ?
2 Wheel Tours Paris, ☎ +33 6 28 35 39 30. 8AM-8PM. Scooter rental service and guided tours on the latest Vespa scooters. Ride a Vespa, with your partner or with a guide, and enjoy the freedom of movement offered on two wheels motorized. Scooters are delivered to your door. [edit] Andreas' expeditions
Hi Felix, We have seen that suddenly our company was not listed anymore. Why did you delete us? What was the problem? Best wishes, Sandra —The preceding comment was added by DewiSandra (talk • contribs)
Hi Sandra, this has been explained elsewhere. It is a matter of sufficient experience. Andreas has only been organising treks as an independent operator for less than one year. The mountain has many entities putting themselves forward as providers and organisers. There are adequate established and suitably experienced providers currently listed in the article and in a number sufficient to provide a starting point for travellers to make enquiries about the destination. There is no need for the article to list every provider who enters the field. It should be understood these travel guide articles do not seek to provide a service directory for a destination.
You must also understand that you cannot list across several articles as you have, so the listings in the Senaru and the Lombok article have been removed as well. Sorry about that, it is understood you likely placed them there whilst being unaware of that contribution guideline. -- felix (talk) 15:16, 17 April 2013 (EDT)
