Hello Dirk! Welcome to Wikitravel.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. I see no-one welcomed you properly last September. Let me fix that now. I'm glad to see more people paying attention to the Vancouver area articles. There aren't enough of us! JimDeLaHunt 02:02, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Scope of region article containing Vancouver
Dirk, I see you just moved the Greater Vancouver article to be named Metro Vancouver. This is logical given the content of the article, but I think the changes made to that region article to equate it to the governmental division "Metro Vancouver" were mistaken. I'd like to restore a traveller-oriented scope to the region containing Vancouver, I think that scope should be smaller than Metro Vancouver, and hence I think "Metro Vancouver" is the wrong name for the article. Could you please read the discussion at Talk:Greater Vancouver and give your thoughts? Thanks to your nudge I'd like to restore that region scope, but I don't want to do it without regard to your contributions. JimDeLaHunt 02:02, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
