To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
I hate to erase your work, but Wikitravel doesn't do articles for bodies of water like the Baltic Sea, and you can't copy content from Wikipedia either. However, if you'd like to write about the more specific topic of Cruising the Baltic Sea, then that would make a good travel topic or itinerary. (You can rescue your old text from here if you want to.) Jpatokal 21:53, 3 June 2009 (EDT)
- Ah, I see you got a recommendation to create that article, prior to my vfd. In any rate, I think that the information in that article would all fit just fine in the Baltic States destination guide, but lets continue the discussion at vfd#Cruising_the_Baltic_Sea. --Peter Talk 20:38, 8 June 2009 (EDT)
- To chime in here, don't worry, we're not going to delete your work -- this is just about trying to figure out the best place to put it, so people can find it and it's not duplicated all over the place. Jpatokal 13:09, 9 June 2009 (EDT)
