To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. IBAlex 19:17, 17 January 2013 (EST)
Hello Conserve! I had to delete some of your edits because the information you added was questionable and biased. I also noticed that many of your edits were also removed by other users in the community. Therefore I kindly ask you not to add information that is opinionated. You can always start a discussion on the article's Talk Page before adding your contributions to the article. If you have any questions, please let me know. Warm regards, IBAlex (talk) 14:29, 23 January 2014 (EST)
This was not your first warning. I have suspended your account due to your attitude and comments in the edits. Tomorrow you can return to editing, but be advised to be more communicative and seeking consensus before you make such changes. Your Chicago warning box is insensitive and bordering on offensive. The current box, as I edited it, is more than adequate to the task. Thank you IBobi (talk) 19:30, 11 November 2014 (EST)
Defiance of advice given in our Manual of Style
I understand that you have a particular perspective with regard to the safety of travellers to Chicago.
I have suggested that you should discuss your perspective at Talk:Chicago and gain a consensus for the changes you wish to make. (Please note that, previously, I have not reverted any of your material edits).
With this edit you lazily reverted the work of 5 different editors to roll-back to an earlier version that you preferred and, perhaps unwittingly, made changes that flouted the standards we advise with regard to external links, units, sp., style, image sizing, section headings, etc.
I'm also baffled as to why you chose to remove both the map to the right and this information: "As in almost the entire United States, dial 911 to get emergency help. Dial 311 for all non-emergency situations in Chicago." in the "Stay safe" section - or was it just that you could not be bothered to actually read and preserve the improvements that other editors had made?
Simultaneous use of 2 different account names
Please would you explain why you also edit using the User:Bentup account?
