Welcome[edit]

Hi Catchuec! Thanks for your edits and beautiful pictures, they are much appreciated!

I thought I'd just drop by and welcome you to Wikitravel. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences.

It would be a good idea to have a quick look at our list of tips for newcomers to get a feel for what we are trying to achieve on Wikitravel, and if you're new to the whole wiki software, also look at the wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page.

Just a request. Please select an outline type from the blue links (City|Major City|City District...) when you create a new page. It will install the outline. OldPine 12:43, 30 September 2007 (EDT)

Images[edit]

Hello Ankhit! I have nominated four of your photos for deletion from Wikitravel, as we have a general rule of not allowing pictures that include recognizable people. Please see the Wikitravel:Image policy for more details.

Also, in the future would you please upload images to Wikitravel Shared, as that will allow other language versions to use your photographs, and would you also please include licensing information. For more information on how to do this, please see this uploading guide. I would also appreciate it if you would go back and add licensing info to the photos you have already uploaded, as we really can't keep files on our site that do not specify licensing. Thanks! --Peter Talk 15:18, 30 September 2007 (EDT)

No need to apologize! We're all still learning how best to use this site. You can add pd licensing info to the existing images by adding this wiki tag: {{PD-creator}}. When you upload new images, there is a pulldown licensing menu that will automatically insert the licensing tag of your choice. I look forward to more! --Peter Talk 14:09, 1 October 2007 (EDT)
