Hi, my name is Ted O'Neill. I teach at J. F. Oberlin University in Machida, Tokyo. I've been introducing Wikitravel to some students. They are using copies of article pages for practice on their user discussion pages. Usernames are linked from my discussion page. Please give them a nice welcome.

  • Just shy of three weeks in Indonesia: via Bali to North Sulawesi (Manado, Bunaken, Lembeh) return via Jakarta
  • Toured Sanin (Tottori, Shimane, and Yamaguchi) in a big loop including northern Kyoto from Osaka to Hiroshima by car in late March.
  • Niigata and Koriyama, Fukushima March 15-16.

This summer vacation I am going to Nagano and Sulawesi in Indonesia.

  • New Zealand: this has been at or near the top of my list even before LotR.
  • Turkey: had to cancel a trip here once, but I still want to go.
  • Vietnam: again.
  • Antarctica: someday when I am rich and living the life of leisure.
