Sven is the mascot of Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center located in Coon Valley, Wisconsin. He is a 'nisse' (pronounced 'nis-suh' with the accent on the first syllable). A nisse is a friendly, mischevious character, popular in Norwegian culture. Sven shows up all over Norskedalen; at our special events, in our publicity and whenever there is fun afoot. We thought he'd be a great choice for the editor of our page on Wikitravel.
