Profile:

I have been working as a creative and technology consultant since 1995. Prior to co-founding Sentias Software Corp.[1] maker of the Rezgo.com [2] web based reservation system, I was a Managing Consultant with marchFirst, Inc., a large IT Consulting company in Chicago as well as a Creative Director at Communicate.com, one of Vancouver's premier web development studios. I am active in ongoing business improvement and sit on the Board of Directors of several community advocacy groups, primarily those located in North Vancouver and West Vancouver. One of my pet projects at Sentias is the Karma Exchange, a web application designed to promote everyday acts of goodwill. The Karma Exchange can be found at www.karmaex.com [3].

News:

January 2008 Very exciting news! I have been asked to stand as the Chair of the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce for the upcoming 2008-2009 year. I am very excited by this development and I look forward to being able to help develop and foster a positive business environment in North Vancouver. In addition, the North America Chapter of IFITT is now fully incorporated and our first mandate is to engage the academic and industry communities in order to build a strong membership in the U.S. and Canada.

December 2007 I worked with an incredible team to publish the first travel industry book based on the collective works of bloggers from around the World. Over 25+ blog authors from North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia contributed their content for the "Tips from the T-List" book project[4]. The book was launched at the Canada-e-connect conference[5] in Vancouver in November 2007 and was subsequently distributed at the Travolution conference[6] in London, PhoCusWright Conference[7] in Orlando, and the Web-in-Travel Conference[8] in Singapore. The book has also resulted in several speaking and workshop opportunities at major International conferences including ITB-Berlin[9], the largest travel industry conference in World to be help in March of 2008.

Travel Technology:

I am the founding President of the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism, North America Chapter [10]. IFITT brings together Academics, Industry professionals, and Government in an open discussion about information and communication technologies and their impact on the travel and tourism industries. As the founding President of IFITT North America, I hope to bring more regional and national attention to tourism technology and provide a uniquely North American perspective to issues surrounding distribution, intermediation, and online marketing.
