I live near Olympia, WA and love to travel. I grew up as a "military brat" and moved frequently as a child, once every 2 - 3 years. As a child I lived in southern and northern California, western Washington, Virginia and Bermuda. I like to travel with my wife and family.

I don't consider my travel experience to be extensive - here are the countries I've visited: England, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, India, Canada and Mexico. I've visited approximately 1/2 of the United States.

Places I have a great interest in visiting include: Japan, Thailand, China, the Caribbean, India, Italy, Croatia, Australia, Costa Rica, Brazil, South Africa and many others. My greatest barriers to travelling more is time and to an extent money.

I believe travel is greatly important to get an expanded view of the world and my place in it, as well as my country's. Travel is the best way to experience and understand other cultures and also makes me really appreciate living where I do.
