I currently live in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Like many people in Vancouver, I'm not from here -- I'm originally from "back East" (in BC-speak), having been born in Peterborough and went to school in Waterloo (both in Ontario). After tiring of my job out of university, I moved to New Zealand for a couple of years, living in Auckland and Wanaka. Upon returning to Canada I had to reconcile my love of snowboarding with the fact I can't stand cold weather, and so Vancouver became the chosen destination.

Most of my early travels focused on Canada, the U.S., New Zealand and Australia. More recent places I've been to include southern Africa and central Europe. Some of my favourite places are Whistler, Wanaka, the Coromandel, Western Australia, Victoria Falls, Ljubljana, the Julian Alps and Vienna.
