[edit] About me

My name is Sherman Cahal. You can find more about my personal life, with my resume and sample photography gallery at my personal web-site. I am the author of American Byways, Bridges & Tunnels, and Abandoned. I have photographs that really don't fit in the above three web-sites at my Flickr account (e.g. streetscapes, highway transit, etc.). For 2007, I will be debuting a railroading site covering active and abandoned lines throughout the mid-Atlantic, and a site regarding urban redevelopment and streetscape projects.

Regarding my edits on Wikipedia, I tend to stick close to home. My current emphasis revolves around Lexington, Kentucky, Louisville, Kentucky, Ashland, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Ohio, Ironton, Ohio, Huntington, West Virginia and Charleston, West Virginia. In detail, I enjoy writing about downtown revitalization projects, streetscapes, transportation and abandonments.

Some of my favorite links include,
