[edit] Autobiography

I go by the user name Sapphire, because I'm a fan of the color Sapphire, which is a shade of blue. This particular color is an amazingly beautiful blue and is the sum of the world's beauty. My favorite painting is Street in Venice [1] by John Singer Sargent. If you're in Warsaw, say hi if you recognize me - I'll be the guy on the bus making the very beautiful woman laugh.

I, as a Cincinnatian, am too ashamed to keep up-to-date on the Cincinnati Bengals this year, but I still love them. Who Dey!

I am also working to get a new wiki going, which, will have some relevance to Wikitravel. Although, I suspect I have solved the problem for making sure content from this project will be accessible to the Wikitravel project while still maintaining a more liberal openness that will allow projects under other licenses to use the content too.

[edit] Contact

If for some reason you need to contact me, please feel to contact me using my talk page, the "E-mail this user link" just below the search button, or SapphireTheVarsovian (at) gmail (dot) com. If you need info about Cincinnati (My hometown), Warsaw (my home until 2011, at the earliest), or Munich please add "Wikitravel - Place name" to the subject line so your message doesn't get sent to the spam filter.

[edit] Philosophical questions of the year

  • Why does everyone love an Irish person?
  • Why doesn't Trojan Condoms change it's name to something a little less scary? When I think Trojan, I think of an impregnable city being destroyed by a few of the elite boys. Thus, I think TC has a frightening name, especially when one considers that TC is supposed to make something impregnable.
  • Is human kind instinctively searching for a Lake Wobegon [2]? (I can provide you with a link to listen to the show, provided you're available to listen to the show on Saturdays between 18:00 - 20:00 (EST) or Sunday between 12:00 - 14:00 (EST).)
