Recent favourite trips include:
- Travelling for one month in the United States by train. The rail trip started in San Antonio and ended back at home in Vancouver. Stops along the way included: Little Rock, Chicago, Lawrence (Kansas), Albuquerque, Flagstaff (and the Grand Canyon), San Diego (and Tijuana), Los Angeles, Eugene, and Portland (Oregon)
- Galiano Island and Mayne Island here in beautiful British Columbia
