I am a 60+ year old man currently residing in the middle outer edge of nowhere suburbs of Washington, D.C. in Fairfax County, Virginia. While I currently reside in Virginia, home is the Pacific Northwest in general and Seattle specifically.

I love to travel, and for whatever reason my travels in the past 20 or so years have focused on Spanish speaking areas including Spain itself, Central America, and South America. I am also a Francophile and have spent a fair amount of time in Paris and the Provinces. Family ties and the close proximity of British Columbia to Seattle mean I have spent a great deal of time in Canada.

Walking is hobby, and I have done several long distance walks including the Camino Santiago in Spain twice, once starting at St. Jean Pied-de-Port and the other at Somport. I have also done long distance walks in France including ones the Cevennes and the Massif Central. Closer to the Us, I have done numerous shorter hikes in the Cascades, the mountains of Southern California, and in the Appalachians.
