Поскольку многие из нас вне путешествий ходят в рестораны лишь изредка, во многом научить(ся) ходить в рестораны -- вполне себе задача про путешествия.

Поскольку вполне типичны путешествия из менее обеспеченых/развитых стран в более, или из менее космополитичных регионов в более -- то дома мы часто не имеем того experience'а, который позволяем себе в путешествиях.

  • A good idea is to avoid restaurants with people outside encouraging you to come in - if they were good enough they probably wouldn't need to do that.
  • table etiquette:
    • most typical knife & fork positions (originally coming from UK)
      • To signal that you has finished, place the knife and fork together at six o’clock with your fork on the left (tines facing up) and knife on the right, with the knife blade facing in. Alternatively, place them slightly diagonally, like 10:20.
      • If you must leave the table or are resting, your fork should be at eight o’clock tines (prongs) pointing downwards and your knife at four o’clock (with the blade inwards).
