Andy Grant grew up in the suburbs of Chicago where he currently resides.

His travels include Japan, Hong Kong, Seoul, Canada and every state except Alaska.

A long time resident of Illinois he is quoted as saying "I would rather get to know the backwaters and byways of the great State of Illinois than to get to know some other place only to have to leave it someday in favor of my prairie home."
