I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona where I have lived (on and off) for approximately 18 years (1982-1996, 2004-). I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah (1960-1982) (and I've never been Mormon - in case you might be wondering). I also lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 8 years (1996-2004).
Given my choice, I'd still be in Atlanta.
I have visited much of the rest of the state Arizona numerous times (including, but not limited to, Tucson, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon).
I am a former Travel Agent, with 16 years experience.
I have visited over 30 other U.S. States (many of them several times). In particular, I have made numerous visits to Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego, California. I've also made numerous visits to Chicago, Illinois & New York, New York.
I have been to Denver, Colorado many times. However, my last visit was in 1985. Much has changed since then (particularly in the downtown area).
There are several other U.S. cities I have visited as well, but I have not been to them more than once or twice at most. They include (but are not limited to) Athens, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Houston, Texas; Kansas City, Missouri; Seattle, Washington and Washington, D.C.
And thanks to numerous cross-country trips by car or bus, I also briefly visited a number of other cities and (obviously) have seen much of the rural parts of the country.
I have also visited a number of places internationally (although my last international trip was in 1993). I only visited each of the following destinations once (with the exception of London which I have visited twice).:
