I'm AHeneen and I am a fellow Wikitraveller! I live in the US state of Florida, hometown is Winter Haven, but I am going to school in Orlando. I can speak a fairly good amount of French, in which I will be minoring in. I have discovered that learning languages is very intriguing, and I would love to learn a little Russian, Arabic, Hebrew & Portuguese.

In 2006, I set 12 goals to accomplish in my life and of them, six are travel related: visit 40 countries, live abroad, climb a mountain at least 5000m (16,400ft), drive across the country (US...namely Florida to Alaska), attend the Olympic Games, and go on a mission/humanitarian trip to Africa. So essentially, I'm just a student with the "travel-bug" who hasn't been very many places, but really hopes to change that.

I have quite a disdain for "touristy" (tourist-oriented) places, so I am not interested in Western Europe (save France, since I know a bit of French) nor the Caribbean (although I did like Jamaica...away from the touristy places). I spend lots of my spare time learning about faraway lands that I hope to travel to. The particular region I am interested in changes from time to time. Right now, I'm fascinated by West Africa, but I also have a bit of interest in the Caucasus, Central Asia, & the Middle East. Many of the places are a bit more risqué for Americans and still many others people have never heard of. The top nations/areas I haven't been to which I would like to visit (somewhat in order of preference) are:

I am the docent for Florida, Central Florida, Orlando, Melbourne (Florida), Polk County (Florida), Winter Haven, & Lakeland. While I am roughly familiar with most of Florida, I know little of South Florida (Miami, the Keys, Ft.Lauderdale, & West Palm Beach) and not much about the Panhandle west of Panama City.
