Hasanuddin International Airport (IATA: UPG) is located 20 km from Makassar and has flights to Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Kendari, Palu, Manado, Gorontalo, Ambon, Ternate, Manokwari, Sorong, and Jayapura. Also to Kuala Lumpur via Air Asia starting 25 July 2008.

Losari Beach, a beachfront just on the side of the road. A very nice sunset view. There's a culinary festival everynight over there Fort Rotterdam, old fortress from colonial age Pulau Khayangan, an island 20 minutes away by small boat from makasar.
