Vic Stewart's, 2 Northern California Locations. This elegant establishment offers award winning steaks including a giant 49 oz porterhouse. Finish this steak and your name will be placed on the "49er club" hall of fame and receive a "49er club" certificate.
Kelsey's Steak & Seafood, 2 Locations. This establishment hosts an impossible steak challenge for almost all who tried. To get the meal for free you must finish in under an hour a 96 oz. Sirloin of beef, a baked potato, soup (or salad) and a slice of bread. The challenge has been going on for over 20 years and fewer than 10 have managed to accomplish this feat.
Brand Steakhouse', Located in the Monte Carlo Casino in Las Vegas, brand offers a 120oz steak. Although it's not intended to be a single challenge, it's still quite a site to behold. The steak serves six people.
J & R’s Steak House, 6 locations. Offering a 76 oz steak that if finished under an hour, you get your name on the wall of fame and a T-Shirt. If you don't, you pay $60.
Gus' Steakhouse, Highway 12 Norwich, NY 13815 607-336-4777. The challenge here is the 80oz steak. The rules are simple; finish the steak and one side in under an hour and your meal's on the house. If you can't finish, it will cost you $69.99.
Main Street Saloon, 1481 South Main St., Akron, 330-724-8855 Home of the "Challenger Steak" challenge. Finish the 80oz steak, baked potato, salad, roll and 22 oz beverage and your meal is free.
Sayler's Old Country Kitchen, 10519 SE Stark St Portland, Oregon 503-252-4171. This challenge has been running since 1948 and is free if you can finish in under an hour. To complete the challenge, you must eat two carrot and celery sticks, two olives and dill pickles, a salad, ten fries, a baked potato, a slice of bread and a hearty 72 oz steak.
Gregory's Steakhouse 2201 Schoenersville Rd, Allentown, PA 18109 (610) 264-9301. Home of one of the largest steak challenges in the world. Gregory's Steakhouse serves a ribeye steak challenge that weighs in at 7.5 lbs. There's no time limit, and if you finish, the steak is on the house and you get your picture on the wall of fame. Many have tried, few have succeeded.
Thorny's Steakhouse & Saloon, 600 South Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 843-448-2333. Located in a tourist friendly location, this popular steakhouse offers an 80 oz sirloin of beef for $70. If you finish it under an hour, it's free.
Shiloh Brew & Chew, 1805 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy Maryville 37804 865-233-7307. They call their 80 oz. beef ribeye the "The Big Ol' Steak". Finish the steak for a tee shirt and a spot on their wall of fame.
The Big Texan, 7701 I-40 East Amarillo, Texas 79118 806-372-6000 Home of the world famous 72 oz steak. The challenge is simple, finish the giant steak along with baked potato, shrimp cocktail, salad and a dinner roll in under an hour and live forever in infamy on the wall of fame.
Wards House of Prime, 540 East Mason Street Milwaukee, 53202 414-223-0135. This challenge will go as big as your appetite can handle. Wards will cut a piece of their famous prime rib as large as you ask. If you complete a portion that is 64 oz. or higher, you'll be placed on thier legendary wall of fame. The king on the wall is a 168 oz prime rib slab completed by Mike Litman.
