Turangi

Turangi is a town at the south end of Lake Taupo, in the Central North Island of New Zealand. Get in Situated on Highway 1 at the Southern End of lake Taupo, Turangi can be accessed by private car or bus. Get around See Do Turangi is mostly famous for the river that runs through it: the Tongariro River. This river provides some excellent trout fishing all year round (but particularly during August - October) for Rainbow (steelhead) and Brown trout.
