Toranmal is a hill station in North Maharashtra in India.


Toranmal occupying the highest range of the Satpudas covering, Akrani Tehsil is a hill station and the only place of its kind attracting the tourists. It is nearly 144.84kms from Dhule the district headquarters.Toranmal enjoys a salubrious and cool place even during the hot season.It is long narrow land with a height of 1036.32 meters above sea level.

By air[edit]

Nearest airport is Aurangabad.

By rail[edit]

Nearest railhead is Nandurbar, 76 kms. on Surat-Bhusawal line of Western Railway. A more convenient railhed is Dhule, 128 kms.

By road[edit]

Mumbai-Toranmal via Dhule Shahada, 510 kms. Dhule-Toranmal, 128 kms.

State Transport buses play from Dhule, Nandurbar and Shahada to Toranmal.

Get around[edit]


  • Yashwant Lake. Even at this height, there is a large natural lake know as Yashwant lake adding beauty to the already present spot.
  • Sitakhai Valley. About one and half kms away there is a valley called Sitakhai where in a wall like formation could be seen standing erect.
  • Echo Point
  • Temples. There are two temples dedicated to Gorakhnath and Nagarjun, where a fair is held on Mahasivratri day.Toranmal also has historical impotance in that which is supposed to be the ancient capital of the Mandu dynasty.






The government has set up fully furnished holiday camps and a restaurant for the visiting tourists.
