Tonina is an ancient maya city near Ocosingo in Chiapas. In it's day it rivaled Palenque in power. Only recently discovered in the last 30 years it provides a great opportunity to see an ancient maya ruin without being overcrowded with tourists.

All descriptions on the ruins and in the museum are written in Spanish.
