OK, so, I had removed the code for this, but then I realized that that was probably too heavy-handed. I'd really, really prefer to work out reasonable guidelines to using Mediawiki templates before we rush into make a lot of them. Maj started a discussion on Wikitravel talk:using Mediawiki templates, and I'd like to figure things out there before using templates a lot. --Evan 00:23, 15 Nov 2004 (EST)
Image clear without a linebreak?
Is there are a way to 'force' the ending of images like <BR clear=all>, but without causing an extra linebreak? Currently infobox placing goes wonky if there's an image 'in progress' when called... Jpatokal 21:45, 25 May 2005 (EDT)
- I can't answer the question. But presumably Wikipedia has seen and solved the same issue as best as can be solved. So . -- Colin 23:24, 25 May 2005 (EDT)
- I tried the comment thing, but it doesn't work. The code you link to just has a simple table, while the Wikitravel infobox is a table in a div, and it's the div position that goes wrong. There's probably some obscure div parameter that would solve this nicely, if only we could figure out what it is... the obvious <div clear=all> doesn't seem to work. Jpatokal 00:56, 26 May 2005 (EDT)
- Hmm-m -- the other solution would be to dump the div entirely and use only a table, Wikipedia seems to use this for their infoboxen. I'll play with this later if I have time. Jpatokal 01:10, 26 May 2005 (EDT)
