Talk:White Mountains (California)

Since the White Mountains are a region rather than a park this article should be converted to the Wikitravel:Region article template, which is more appropriate. -- Ryan • (talk) • 02:28, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
I thought it was more like a park than a region. There is a park-like Bristlecone preserve embedded in part of a national forest, which is also park-like. Anyhow, it isn't too hard to edit in new categories, or rename existing categories. What changes would you suggest, Ryan? 76.80.26.121 20:02, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
- I've updated the article to use the region template. Generally the park template is only used for an area with clearly defined borders that is under the management of a single entity, such as a national park, state park, wildlife refuge, African game park, etc. Areas that don't meet that criteria are considered regions and use the region article template. Wikitravel:Article templates has a few more details if you're interested. -- Ryan • (talk) • 23:17, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
