I think that these should be called Western province (Sri Lanka) Northwestern province (Sri Lanka) etc. for the same reason that most counties in the US are prefixed with county - the "province" is part of the name, without which it sounds weird — Ravikiran 11:33, 18 April 2006 (EDT)
