Takoma/Takoma Park[edit]

I'm putting in 2–3 listings from Takoma Park, MD, since it seems ridiculous to split content from this single "Main St" area, which straddles the District line, across two articles. If you check the Takoma Park article, you'll notice that it likewise includes listings from the D.C. Takoma neighborhood. While content duplication is something of a cardinal sin on Wikitravel, I can't think of a better solution than to simply allow it. --Peter Talk 03:24, 19 September 2009 (EDT)

Closed listings[edit]

  • Napa 1015, 1015 H St NE, +1 202 396-6272, [1]. Tu-Sa 5PM-11PM. Quite possibly the Atlas District's only establishment without a theme or gimmick, this is simply an upscale New American restaurant, with a nice collection of art on the walls, and an interesting wine list. It also offers a $30 three-course pre-theater menu 5PM-7PM. $18-35.  edit

Fine dining not yet making it here? (Fine drinking is, anyway.) Hopefully they'll reopen, since they still(?) own the space. --Peter Talk 17:31, 15 December 2009 (EST)

  • Saint's Bourbon Street, 1812 Hamlin St NE, +1 202 269-2150, [2]. Tu-Th 4PM-10PM, F-Sa 11AM-midnight, Su 4PM-9PM. Surprisingly good New Orleans style Cajun food and drinks in a surprisingly nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Frequent live music: blues, jazz, zydeco. $7-20.  edit

I'd hate to see the only place serving fried alligator in the district close, but the phone is disconnected. Will try (eventually) to drive by to confirm when I have time. --Peter Talk 12:08, 26 November 2010 (EST)

  • H Street Martini Lounge, 1236 H St NE, +1 202 397-3333, [3]. M-Th 5PM-midnight, F 4PM-3AM, Sa 7PM-3AM. Perhaps H St's classiest drinking option has 50+ martinis on the menu, R&B on the upstairs dance floor Th-F, a laid-back bar & seating area, and friendly staff.  edit
