I haven't been there, but that warning box strikes me as a little harsh... is it really that dangerous in Tripoli? More so than anywhere else in Lebanon? The travel warning on the US State site doesn't specifically call out Tripoli as more dangerous. Anyone know? – cacahuate talk 23:57, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

Tripoli is a safe place but some conflicts might occur from time to time, but absolutely not in any tourist area.
