Recent edits[edit]

An anonymus user has recently edited extensively, but some of the added material appears to be taken from a university page, making it a copyright violation and other parts from Wikipedia which is contrary to our policy. I very nearly reverted the lot.

Does anyone else, in particular the anonymous contributor, care to comment? There is some good stuuf in the additions; is there anyone who knows both WT policies and Tianjin that would care to volunteer to do an edit? Pashley 21:28, 31 May 2012 (EDT)

It should also be pointed out that most of the images have been uploaded (from commons) without attribution. To the uploader: shared:How to upload files#Examples of source-specific template use provides info on how to provide correct attribution for images from commons. -- Ryan • (talk) • 00:33, 1 June 2012 (EDT)

Xikai Catholic Church[edit]

I live in Tianjin and speak some Chinese, and can say that most of this information is accurate. However the mention of the Xikai Catholic Church not being damaged during Mao's time is totally false. It suffered extensive damage and had to be refurbished in the 1980s. There is a date on the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in the church's yard. Locals have told me that it was used as a garage before being refurbished but other than hearsay I do not have documentation to prove this.
