Talk:South East (England)

Although the "official" South East is now the counties NW, W and S of London, this is just to make some useful regions for the EU and regional development boards. Most people in the UK would also include the counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex in the Home Counties and the South East. I agree - in my experience, these counties are more widely considered to be part of the South East.

As it is, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire are relegated almost to an afterthought in sections of the East Anglia page, which does not look very good. --David Edgar 13:50, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)
