Many people, including myself, believe that wikitravel and wikipedia should not be used with or without links to sites. Doing such is a cheap and poor means to try to get ones sites up in the search engine results, sometimes called "spamming the index". Consider on this page that someone used several references to Jenner and stuck in Jenner-by-the-Sea (which is believed to be used By the Jenner Inn). Likewise a direct entry for another business with name, address, phone, and email. Likewise other places are listed by name, but other wonderful places are excluded. Most definitely I consider it spamming and I am sure that many other people also feel that way. -- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.81.73.183 (talkcontribs)

Please see Wikitravel:External links for the guidelines regarding external links. External links are fine when they are primary links, ie the official site of a hotel, museum, restaurant, etc. Linking to other travel guides or adding multiple links to the same site are not OK and those links should be removed. -- Ryan • (talk) • 10:43, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Region?[edit]

This looks to be a region article, but isn't formatted like one. Shouldn't the city/town-specific info be moved to city articles, and the top section be converted to a cities list? --Peter Talk 00:35, 23 June 2009 (EDT)
