Talk:Normal (Illinois)

From Wikitravel
Jump to: navigation, search

Ya know, Bloomington (Illinois) and Normal (Illinois) really function as a single destination, and given its size I don't think it really needs two articles. Heres a map to give you some idea. -- Mark 09:42, 19 Jan 2005 (EST)

True to some extent. However, the fact that Normal (not Bloomington) contains Illinois State University, and that Bloomington (not Normal) is the nominal site of the airport serving both communities, offers some chance for confusion on the part of people unfamiliar with the "Twin Cities," as they are known. There are also real differences of atmosphere between the two. Check my edit of the headers for the two places and see if it works to resolve your concern. -- Bill-on-the-Hill 20:49, 16 Sep 2005 (EDT)
