strictly speaking, this may not be a disambiguation page, as it refers to the island that is divided between two countries, rather than one term that could be taken to mean either region. however, i think it is probably best to treat it as a disambiguation rather than try and develop it as a regional article. --Inas 17:45, 16 November 2008 (EST)

Agreed, there are quite a few other articles like this for places that people could conceivably search, but can't be redirected to a single destination and don't make sense as a region either (eg. Borneo). Jpatokal 23:21, 16 November 2008 (EST)
