Automatic restaurant[edit]

I would not put Automatic Restaurant in the budget category. By the time 2 people have ordered juice, starters and entrees, the bill could be RO 12-13.

Price corrections[edit]

Sorry if I am doing this wrong, I don't really know what I'm doing, but I just wanted to say that the prices mentioned in this article for food and cases of water are not accurate. A meal for two people at an actual sit-down restaurant would cost about 4-6 rials. The only food cheaper than this is kisok snacks. Water is about 1.5 rials for a six pack of 1.5 liter bottles. Also, the hotel mentioned as being in the middle of the city is kind of strange since Muscat is a very decentralized city. Which "middle" is the author talking about? There are many commercial areas in different areas of the city. Hotels here are expensive, but a cheaper option for budget tourists is Naseem hotel in Muttrah tel 24712418. A single is 15 rials, a double 20 rials. This is a hotel I usually recommend to travelers because it is in a scenic, older part of Muscat and is much cheaper than other hotels, which range around 50-60 a night.

Don't worry, you're not doing anything wrong. Our philosophy is, if you see something wrong, plunge forward and fix it yourself! You can click edit at the top of the page and change the prices yourself. If you need some help, please see Wikitravel:How to edit a page. --Peter Talk 11:55, 4 September 2008 (EDT)
