John Denver is a Texas Tech University graduate. He did not grow up in Lubbock. Most folks in Lubbock know that, but "others" don't. ;)

 Great edits
So, I'm happy to see that there's so much work going on on this page. I've made some changes to move data out to other articles when appropriate. I've also changed some wiki links to plain text (see Wikitravel:What is an article? and I've un-bolded a lot of text for clarity (see Wikitravel:Use boldface to call out important topics).
I hope this growth spurt continues! --Evan 08:47, 1 Sep 2005 (EDT)

I was not pleased with the original article and decided to add a few things. Lubbock is a interesting little town with plenty of secrets and lots of history which permeates everything... And, yes - There is plenty to do in this city. You have to look first of all.
- That's great! This article is particularly weak on restaurants, hotels, and nightlife in Lubbock. I think there's also a lot of work that can be done on laying out a framework for the rest of the Panhandle. --Evan 13:50, 2 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Have less time than I had hoped to finish this little project. Uploaded a picture of 4th on Broadway, and will add more pictures of Lubbock. Especially Texas Tech and Lubbock Lake - soon! --Apotheosist 13:43, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

I just rolled back a large number of contributions from one anonymous user-- they seemed snarky comments at best and, while there may have been some value to some of the edits, it didn't follow our Wikitravel:Manual of style suggested tone. Maj 17:13, 17 January 2007 (EST)
