Err... do we really need a disambig for this? Lagos (Nigeria) is the capital of Africa's largest country and the most populous city on the continent with over 10,000,000 people, Lagos (Portugal) I didn't know existed. Jpatokal 04:36, 29 Mar 2005 (EST)
I'd like to raise this up again -- I don't think Lagos, Nigeria (pop. 15 million and capital of Africa's largest country) is simply on the same scale as Lagos, Portugal (pop 15,000). Note that on Wikipedia Lagos also goes straight to the one in Nigeria. Jpatokal 02:55, 25 Nov 2005 (EST)
regardless of whether you think it's the biggest, when another place has the same name, it is important to show clarity, therefore I believe the (Nigeria) extension is valid and important.
I was tempted to change the wording for Etisalat mobile network, as it sounds like an advert rather than description; any thoughts? --18.104.22.168 16:31, 8 February 2009 (EST)
I need your help
Hello. I need information about Lagos, especially the transport service. I need information about different bus lines but I couldn't find any on the Internet. I need to make a work on this but there's no way from me to get the information because I live in Argentina. Could anyone, who has information, get in touch with me? My e-mail is dariospatz(at)gmail.com
One of the MOST important things to remember is that most of the airport customs and immigration are corrupt. The WILL try and get a bribe for a visa you already have...ie: 'my car has no fuel today sir". So expect it and ONLY carry small us dollar denominations... if you carry 100's then more fool you. MOST of the official people are corrupt, but most of the ordinary people in Nigeria are honest. Some of the big hotels charge you 5 star prices for 3 star service, so shop around but most of them are in need of repair. On the way out of the country, be very surprised if what you packed when you left is still in your bag. If it is thats a bonus. In short go somewhere else...unless you have no choice or are not picking up the bills. And expect to be short changed IF a Nigerian company is paying you an allowance to live.
