[edit] Baklahorani, anyone?
Despite the Turkish authorities' 1943 ban on the Greek Carnival, there's a revival initiative starting from 2010. Facebook page: [[1]]; example article Reviving Carnival in Istanbul: [[2]]. Who's interested? Vidimian, how about you? --CurvyEthyl 18:17, 21 January 2012 (EST)
- Not sure if I'd be interested or not (I haven't heard about this before), but please feel free to add about this to the article. There is also a Wikipedia article about this carnival which has a little more detail from the NY Times blog you linked as well as external links to semi-official carnival webpage and other news sources. – Vidimian 19:43, 21 January 2012 (EST)
- I've seen the Wikipedia article, but you can have a hear at this song. (I'm not sure if it's sung in Greek or Turkish, though.) --CurvyEthyl 19:51, 21 January 2012 (EST)
- It's Greek before 2:45 and Turkish after that. – Vidimian 20:25, 21 January 2012 (EST)
- I thought it was in one language. Post lyrics, if optional? --CurvyEthyl 20:57, 21 January 2012 (EST)
