My test page --- Hansm 19:25, 2003 Sep 6 (PDT)

Hi! I'm wondering what you are trying to work out here. If you're looking at the format/style to use for a country page, or how we are "weeding" the CIA info, make sure you;re up-to-date on the conversation happening on the Wikitravel:Country article template. Thanks! Majnoona

Playing around with scripting Hansm

Hi there! I'm just wondering if a test page should go in the main namespace. Shouldn't this page be renamed User:Hansm/Hansland or something? D.D. 14:02, 7 Sep 2003 (PDT)
Agreed re:test pages. This might be a bad thing to start (ie pretend places/test pages). Secondly, scripted changes are a pretty big deal since they effect so much content at once. I think you need to make sure everyone understands what you are doing and why. I'm not sure if I agree with creating Factbook pages, I think the 'weeding' works well. Pages such as Switzerland are currently using the subset of facts shown on the Wikitravel:Country article template.Majnoona
Sorry for doing my testing in the main namespace. I didn't realize the feature of personal namespaces. Maj, pls see Wikitravel talk:CIA World Factbook 2002 import for further explanation und discussion. --- Hansm 04:33, 2003 Sep 8 (PDT)
You can play around with the Wiki markup on the Wikitravel:graffitti wall, and, yes, you should do your larger experimentation in sub-pages of your personal page. -- Evan 08:59, 8 Sep 2003 (PDT)
Also, Hans: I'm really, really uncomfortable with the thought of you running scripts against Wikitravel. Please don't do it again. -- Evan 09:00, 8 Sep 2003 (PDT)
What's bad with scrips (except testings in the main namespace)? - How about my ideas in Wikitravel talk:CIA World Factbook 2002 import? --- Hansm 09:28, 2003 Sep 8 (PDT)
