Gatineau is now much larger since its fusion. Gatineau has more than 200 000 inhabitants and gathers the old following cities: Gatineau, Hull, Aylmer, Masson-Anger and Buckingham.

Obviously, I speak about my city as a citizen and not as expert!

I have lived in Gatineau for 9 years and I adore! It is a town of medium size which offers the services and entertainments of a big city without being one. One can find quiet corners without having to drive for hours on the road mornings and evening.

Gatineau is located, geographically, beside Ottawa. Therefore, we share several activities and festivals with the Capital. To mention just a few we have the Blues Fest., Winterlude, Festival des Mopngolfières and also the Tulip Festival.

Needs a bit about French. My understanding is once you cross the river from Ottawa you're pretty much on your own if you don't know French. The impression I get is it's not as bilingual as neighbor Ottawa. 20:09, 12 November 2015 (EST)
