[edit] Santo
The Vanuatu article still lists Santo as a port town, so some clarification is needed. -- Ryan • (talk) • 23:17, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
- Hi Ryan. Thanks for the call. Actually, the original text on the Santo article also called it a town, but I scrolled through Google listings and checked WP, but the only thing 'Santo Vanuatu' threw up was the island of Espiritu Santo. WindHorse 23:24, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
- I'm just thinking that perhaps the main harbor on the island is named after the island (i.e. Santo Port), rather than after the town it is located in. That would be a reasonable explanation for the listing, as I cannot find a town by the name of Santo on any of the islands. WindHorse 23:36, 26 June 2007 (EDT)
- I removed the reference to Santo being a port town, but kept it listed as the name of a port (until we get other info to the contrary). I also know little about the islands, except I remember seeing a survey that showed it to be the happiest place in the world. So, whether the port has an official name or not, at least they do not seem worried about it! WindHorse 00:59, 27 June 2007 (EDT)
