Talk:Da Nang

Both Da Nang and HaiPhong are mentioned here as "Vietnam's third largest city", but there should be only one :)

Da Nang is actually the fifth largest city (Can Tho is fourth) in terms of population. But people in Vietnam usually consider it the third most important city due to its location. 21:57, 20 June 2016 (EDT)

There are quite a few restaurants here that aren't categorised as budget/splurge. Should it be like this, or does anyone know where they might fit? Olitip (talk) 07:55, 3 April 2016 (EDT)

Hi Olitip, thank you for pointing this out. Actually they should be categorised as budget/mid-range/splurge. Are you familiar with Da Dang or maybe those restaurant? Please feel free to categorise them if you know them. Cheers! --Binbin (talk) 09:14, 3 April 2016 (EDT)
Hi binbin. I am not especially familiar with da nang, I have just spent a week there. But I'll see what I can do with some internet sleuthing Olitip (talk) 03:44, 7 April 2016 (EDT)

Is this remotely accurate?

"Tams Pub and Surf Shop. A great place to rent surfboards even though the waves don't get really big till the winter swells pick up and even then they do not get all that big. GIs during the Vietnam war used to surf here and in this restaurant you can see the stories unfold with pictures on the wall. The pub and surf shop is ran by Tam and her family who boast the best burgers in Vietnam. I would go as far to say the best burgers in all of Asia but I have not been to all of Asia."

There is indeed a tiny shop there, and that is the name of the shop. But when it comes to the burgers it has no reputation to speak of. Also, just a couple of blocks towards the beach there is an extremely popular burger join called Burger Bros, and Burger Bros is widely thought to have the best burgers in Vietnam (and I can attest to that too). The blurb about Tams is just weird and out of place. I am not going to bother editing the main page because I don't know the rules, but I thought that I would mention it.
