Talk:Channel Islands (California)
From Wikitravel
[edit] Does this place exist?
Can anyone find any evidence that there is a city/townsite/anything (not a group of islands) called Channel Islands in California? Wikipedia and Google are not coughing up anything easy for me. -- Colin 20:07, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- Look up Channel Islands National Park at http://www.nps.gov/chis/.Ookla 20:11, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- I asked if there was a city. The article says it's a city in Ventura County. -- Colin 20:16, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- Apologies for my lack of reading comprehension. You were right, of course.Ookla 20:28, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- Should it redirect to Channel Islands National Park? -- Huttite 20:14, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- I think it should be a region article. But I want to first exclude the possibility that it is just a really tiny city I (and most everyone else) have never heard of. -- Colin 20:16, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- To clarify, I think it exists as a region (see WikiPedia:Channel Islands of California for a definition of the region) which is a superset of the existing Channel Islands National Park article. But not a city. -- Colin 20:16, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
- Calling it a region works for me; lets do that then. -- Huttite 20:17, 25 Mar 2005 (EST)
