Talk:Capital Region (Maryland)
From Wikitravel
I swapped Laurel for Kensington, since I bothered to write up its main attractions, and because I think the Mormon Temple is a much bigger draw than anything in the former city. Kensington's also a lot easier to get to from D.C. --Peter Talk 11:59, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Sections
Do we need stay safe and get out sections for this article? I'm tempted to just delete them. --Peter Talk 17:20, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
- As a matter of fact, I'll just plunge with this. We can always add them back if it's thought useful. --Peter Talk 18:18, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
[edit] By Car
I just made a change to the Get In/By Car section because the highways it listed were completely incorrect. In addition to that, I feel like the entire second paragraph ("From D.C., the main roads leading north into the Maryland Capital Region are...") should either be deleted or modified to contain a complete list of the major roads heading into the region, ie: River Road, US 29, New Hampshire Ave, Rhode Island Ave/US1, MD 295, etc. As you can see this is a big list, and I haven't even included all the major roads leading into PG county. Perhaps a deletion would be the best thing to do.
[edit] Guide status
This article is remarkably near to guide status. All that is needed is to bring the Frederick County and Prince George's County region articles up to usable status (not that this is an easy task). --Peter Talk 20:21, 9 January 2011 (EST)
