Is this is really the best name for this article? Our naming conventions encourage using the most common English name for a place, and I hope that people have a more convenient way of referring to this region. - Todd VerBeek 22:14, 6 August 2006 (EDT)

ARMM appears to be the most common English name for the region, as far as I can tell. It is the official term used by the Philippines government for the region, and "armm+philippines" brings up 165,000 hits in Google. Texugo 22:29, 6 August 2006 (EDT)
