[edit] Reason for name of article

I named this "Auckland Region" rather than "Auckland (region)" to make it clearer that it is the local authority area and has offical boundaries. Calling it "Auckland (region)" would have opened the way to debates and misunderstanding about exactly what area it included. Nurg 23:24, 24 Apr 2005 (EDT)
